52 Days of Transformation

Thirty days of preparation in Virgo,
twenty-two days from Rosh Hashanah to Simchat Torah

13 AUGUST TO 3 OCTOBER 2026

Once each year, the cosmos opens a window of fifty-two days. This is not a succession of holidays. It is a system, designed long before any of us arrived. This page is the complete map.

From Virgo to Simchat Torah

The four gateways of the journey

Before the daily practice, begin with the New Moon in Virgo. It explains what is happening, the purpose of the journey, and how to prepare a new vessel for the new year.

The big picture

The governing image is a car entering the shop. Two parts are serviced, and only two: the brake, which is Malchut, knowing when not to act, and the accelerator, which is Zeir Anpin, acting for the right reasons. Someone with only an accelerator runs over their own life. Someone with only a brake never moves. These fifty-two days rebuild both, then join them on the final day.

I
The month of Virgo
30 days · preparation
The Light leaves the palace and walks among us. We see the beliefs limiting how much we can receive, return in time through Teshuvah, and draw the thirteen Attributes of Mercy.
II
From Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur
Days 1 to 10 · Left Column
The buffer of time falls asleep and the desire to receive for the self alone is isolated in one point. This is the only time of year it can be worked on directly. New soul, new destiny.
III
The channel days and Sukkot
Days 11 to 21 · Right Column
Four days when nothing visible happens build the channel descending from Binah. Sukkot then installs the compass of sharing, within and without.
IV
Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah
Day 22 · Central Column
Restriction is the one part the Creator does not perform for us. The columns join, and the Light simply shines. We dance in circles because circular energy is infinite.

The four phases of Teshuvah

If there is one thing to learn during Virgo, it is this. Teshuvah is not regret. It means returning in time to uproot and transform the negative seeds we planted. The Kabbalah Centre organises the process into four phases, covered on days 10 to 13 of the journey.

1. Return to the moment 2. Feel the pain caused 3. Remake the scene 4. Forgive yourself

What sustains every day

1
Call the Light. A few minutes in silence, without asking for anything specific. Simply want to be close. Kabbalists crossed the whole of Elul awakening this desire.
2
Return in time. Choose a reactive moment, reach the second before it, and rebuild the scene with yourself acting differently. This is Tashuv-Hei.
3
Do not judge. When you see someone's negativity, recognise it within yourself, do not judge the person, and pray for them to change. All three steps, every day.
4
Give beyond comfort. Whoever leaves their own nature ceases to be the old version of themselves, and the judgments belonging to that version leave their film.
חֹדֶשׁ טוֹב Chodesh Tov · "A good month"

If I enter this time as an empty vessel, what must I release so the Light of the Creator can fill me again?
