Torah Portion · Navigating the Week

Re'eh, See

Train the eyes of the soul: see beyond appearances, choose the blessing, remove the inner idols, and act with Light.

One week · from Sunday to the Shabbat of Re'eh
Re'eh

✦  All insights are drawn from studies and lectures by Michael Berg and articles published on kabbalah.com.

The portion Re'eh ("See") invites us to develop a higher consciousness, training our spiritual sight to perceive what lies beyond appearances. "See, today I place before you the blessing and the curse…", this is the Divine invitation: to choose, with clarity, freedom and responsibility, the path that leads to the Light.

According to the kabbalists, we are not merely passive receivers of reality, but co-creators of it through our thoughts, words and actions. The choice between blessing and curse happens every instant, not as external punishment or reward, but as the natural results of the frequency we activate with our consciousness.

This portion also speaks of removing idols, which, in spiritual language, means letting go of automatic behaviors, emotional addictions, and everything that distances us from our essence. It is an invitation to abandon the "gods" of the ego, control, the need for approval, anger, and return to the center, to the soul, to our highest purpose.

It is a week of inner adjustments. Not only to "see," but to choose with wisdom, cleanse with courage and act with Light.

3 · Action Plan · 7 Days

0 of 7 days complete
1
Sunday
Where is your attention?

Train the spiritual eye.

Observe 5 situations during the day and note whether you reacted with the eyes of the ego or of the soul. Rewrite how you could have "seen" it differently, with more compassion, patience or clarity.

2
Monday
Removing inner "idols"

Identify invisible blocks.

Choose one repetitive emotional pattern (e.g., anger, insecurity, comparison). Ask yourself: what am I really seeking through this? What spiritual need lies behind it?

3
Tuesday
Practice conscious choice

Strengthen spiritual free will.

In every situation today, pause before acting. Breathe and ask: "Does this connect me to, or disconnect me from, the Light?" Choose with intention.

4
Wednesday
Dialogue with the soul

Strengthen inner connection.

Write a letter from your soul to you. What is it trying to show you? Which path is calling you? Read the letter aloud as if it were a sacred message.

5
Thursday
Breaking automatic patterns

Cultivate presence and originality.

Choose 3 things you do automatically and change the pattern (e.g., take a different route, change your tone of voice, offer a spontaneous compliment). Notice how it shifts your energy.

6
Friday
Act of energetic cleansing

Open space for new Light.

Organize a small space in your home (a drawer, shelf, corner) with the intention of removing the old to make room for the new. As you clean, hold the thought: "I release what no longer serves me."

7
Saturday (Shabbat)
Visualizing the Blessing

Affirm the soul's path.

During Shabbat, visualize a portal of Light before you. Imagine yourself crossing it with a light consciousness, the eyes of the soul open, and choices aligned with your spiritual mission.

Mantra of the week

"I choose the Light in every thought, word and action. My eyes see beyond appearances, and my soul guides me."
