Re'eh, See

Train the eyes of the soul: see beyond appearances, choose the blessing, remove the inner idols, and act with Light.

1 · This Week's Portion

The portion Re'eh ("See") invites us to develop a higher consciousness, training our spiritual sight to perceive what lies beyond appearances. "See, today I place before you the blessing and the curse…", this is the Divine invitation: to choose, with clarity, freedom and responsibility, the path that leads to the Light.

Co-creators, not receivers

According to the kabbalists, we are not merely passive receivers of reality, but co-creators of it through our thoughts, words and actions. The choice between blessing and curse happens every instant, not as external punishment or reward, but as the natural results of the frequency we activate with our consciousness.

The idols are automatic

This portion also speaks of removing idols, which, in spiritual language, means letting go of automatic behaviors, emotional addictions, and everything that distances us from our essence. It is an invitation to abandon the "gods" of the ego, control, the need for approval, anger, and return to the center, to the soul, to our highest purpose.

It is a week of inner adjustments. Not only to "see," but to choose with wisdom, cleanse with courage and act with Light.

2 · Key Points of the Week

See

The portion trains the spiritual eye to perceive what lies beyond appearances, and it begins by asking exactly that: see.

The blessing and the curse

Both are set before us today. The invitation is divine and the choice is ours, and it repeats every instant.

Co-creators of reality

We are not passive receivers. Thought, word and action make us co-creators of what we live.

The gods of the ego

Removing idols, in spiritual language, is letting go of automatic behaviours and emotional addictions.

3 · In Short

Re'eh means see, and the whole portion is training for the eye. The verse sets the blessing and the curse before us on the same day, which already says the choice is not a rare event, it happens constantly. Kabbalists add that we are not the audience of our own life: thought, word and action make us co-creators. And removing idols, here, means letting go of what runs on automatic, the emotional addictions and everything that pulls a person away from their own essence.

4 · Phrases for Contemplation

  • "Choosing the Light is a moment-to-moment decision."
  • "Everything we idolize outside ourselves limits our connection to the Light."
  • "To see with the eyes of the soul is the first step to transforming reality."

5 · Takeaways

Takeaways
  • Blessing and curse lie in our conscious choices.
  • Seeing with spiritual eyes takes practice and intention.
  • Modern "idols" (ego, attachment, pride) block the connection to the Light.
  • By recognizing automatic patterns, we open space for true transformation.
  • Spiritual freedom is born from inner responsibility.

6 · Action Plan · 7 Days

0 of 7 days complete
1
Sunday
Where is your attention?

Train the spiritual eye.

Observe 5 situations during the day and note whether you reacted with the eyes of the ego or of the soul. Rewrite how you could have "seen" it differently, with more compassion, patience or clarity.

2
Monday
Removing inner "idols"

Identify invisible blocks.

Choose one repetitive emotional pattern (e.g., anger, insecurity, comparison). Ask yourself: what am I really seeking through this? What spiritual need lies behind it?

3
Tuesday
Practice conscious choice

Strengthen spiritual free will.

In every situation today, pause before acting. Breathe and ask: "Does this connect me to, or disconnect me from, the Light?" Choose with intention.

4
Wednesday
Dialogue with the soul

Strengthen inner connection.

Write a letter from your soul to you. What is it trying to show you? Which path is calling you? Read the letter aloud as if it were a sacred message.

5
Thursday
Breaking automatic patterns

Cultivate presence and originality.

Choose 3 things you do automatically and change the pattern (e.g., take a different route, change your tone of voice, offer a spontaneous compliment). Notice how it shifts your energy.

6
Friday
Act of energetic cleansing

Open space for new Light.

Organize a small space in your home (a drawer, shelf, corner) with the intention of removing the old to make room for the new. As you clean, hold the thought: "I release what no longer serves me."

7
Saturday (Shabbat)
Visualizing the Blessing

Affirm the soul's path.

During Shabbat, visualize a portal of Light before you. Imagine yourself crossing it with a light consciousness, the eyes of the soul open, and choices aligned with your spiritual mission.

Mantra of the week

"I choose the Light in every thought, word and action. My eyes see beyond appearances, and my soul guides me."

Send this to someone on autopilot

If someone you love keeps repeating the same patterns without noticing, this portion calls that an idol and teaches how to bring it down.
