"Fear is the voice of the ego; certainty is the voice of the soul."
Today we talk about fear, that silent visitor who shows up exactly when we need peace most. The spiritual truth is simple and freeing:
Feeling fear does not mean weakness.
Feeling fear does not mean a lack of faith.
Feeling fear only means you are human.
Fear is a natural reaction of the body when it faces the unknown. But the soul never feels fear. The soul knows the Light. The soul knows the path. The soul knows you are being guided. That is why the work is not “do not feel fear”. The work is not to walk with it. The work is to choose certainty, even when fear shows up.
Kabbalah teaches that fear does not want to knock you down, it wants to warn you that a higher level of consciousness is arriving. Fear appears when something is changing, something is being revealed, a new stage is being born, the soul is growing. It is a sign, not a sentence.
Certainty is not born of the body, it is born of the soul. That is why you can feel fear and still choose certainty. You can say to the body: “I know you are frightened, but the soul is leading. And the soul trusts.” That is true spiritual strength.
The Zohar explains that fear and certainty cannot occupy the same space. When one comes in, the other steps out. Whenever you switch on certainty, even for a few seconds, fear loses its strength. It is like lighting a candle in a dark room, the darkness never “beats” the candle.
You do not need to deny the illness, the pain or the worry. Kabbalah never asks that of you. Certainty means: “I know there is a Purpose. I know the Light is greater than this moment. I know I am being guided. I know I am not alone.” This is not denial. It is remembering. Remembering that there is more than the eyes can see.
The body feels fear because it only sees what is immediate. The soul has certainty because it sees the whole. Whenever fear rises, you can place a hand on your heart and say: “Creator, I trust Your Light more than I trust this moment.” That sentence changes everything.
“I may feel fear, but I choose certainty. The Light is greater than any challenge.”
Close your eyes. Feel where the fear sits in your body: in the chest? in the stomach? in the throat?
Place a hand over that area. Breathe deeply.
Now picture a white Light entering with your breath and touching that exact point.
See that Light filling the fear. Softening. Warming. Calming.
Let the fear dissolve slowly… like snow in the sun.
And say inwardly: “Certainty lives in me.”
