Em Shavuot, a Luz é despertada e preparada. Mas é neste Shabat, o Shabat de Naso, que toda essa Luz é transmitida a cada indivíduo. Por isso a porção é a mais longa da Torah, contém a Idra Raba no Zohar, e a maior coleção de ensinamentos no Midrash. Tudo isso indica o volume de Luz que desce.

At Shavuot, the Light is awakened and prepared. But it's this Shabbat, the Shabbat of Naso, when all that Light is transmitted to each individual. That's why this is the longest portion in the Torah, contains the Idra Raba in the Zohar, and the largest collection of teachings in the Midrash. All of this points to the volume of Light descending.

The portion's last verse is the key. Michael explicitly asks us to memorize this sentence and let it become our constant meditation, not just on this Shabbat, but every day, almost the entire day.

Rashi and the grammatical detail that changes everything

A forma gramatical esperada seria m'daber, "falando a ele". Mas a Torah usa midaber, uma forma reflexiva: "falando-se a Si mesma".

The expected grammatical form would be m'daber, "speaking to him." But the Torah uses midaber, a reflexive form: "speaking to Itself."

Rashi explica: a Voz que Moshe ouvia não era uma ordem dirigida a ele do tipo "Moshe, pegue este cálice". Era a Luz do Criador falando Consigo mesma: "Preciso que Moshe pegue o cálice", e então Moshe o pegava.

Rashi explains: the Voice Moshe heard wasn't an order directed at him like "Moshe, pick up this cup." It was the Light of the Creator talking to Itself: "I need Moshe to pick up the cup", and then Moshe would pick it up.

Nem o dedo mínimo se move sem a Voz

Not even your pinky moves without the Voice

Está escrito no Talmud: ninguém se machucaria neste mundo, nem mesmo no dedo mínimo, a menos que houvesse uma Voz no Mundo Superior dizendo: "Precisamos que essa pessoa machuque o dedo."

It's written in the Talmud: no one would be hurt in this world, not even their pinky finger, unless there were a Voice in the Upper World saying: "We need this person to hurt their finger."

Esse é o nível de detalhe. Cada gesto, cada gole, cada pequeno acidente, tudo é o efeito de uma Voz divina que falou Consigo mesma sobre o que precisa acontecer com cada alma.

That's the level of detail. Every gesture, every sip, every small accident, it's all the effect of a divine Voice that spoke to Itself about what needs to happen for each soul.

Por que os israelitas pediram a Moshe que ouvisse no Sinai por eles? Parece estranho, se eu pudesse ouvir o Criador diretamente, recusaria? Rav Elazar no Zohar revela o segredo:

Why did the Israelites ask Moshe to listen at Sinai on their behalf? It seems strange, if I could hear the Creator directly, would I refuse? Rav Elazar in the Zohar reveals the secret:

No Sinai, quando a Luz foi revelada, os israelitas viram que a Voz que ouviam vinha de uma Voz mais alta atrás dela, e essa Voz vinha de outra Voz mais alta ainda, nível atrás de nível atrás de nível, até a Fonte.

At Sinai, when the Light was revealed, the Israelites saw that the Voice they heard came from a higher Voice behind it, and that Voice came from yet another, even higher Voice, level behind level behind level, all the way to the Source.

No Sinai, por aquele breve período, houve clareza total, comunicação cara a cara. A jornada da vida é caminhar de volta para esse nível de escuta.

At Sinai, for that brief period, there was total clarity, face-to-face communication. Life's journey is walking back toward that level of listening.

Birkat Kohanim: a maioria experimenta só a casca da bênção

Birkat Kohanim: most people only experience the shell of the blessing

A porção desta semana é também sobre as bênçãos sacerdotais, o Shabat das Bênçãos. Os kabalistas (Tiferet Yosef) ensinam: todos são abençoados o tempo todo. O Criador deseja que cada pessoa experimente bondade e bênçãos sem fim a cada momento.

This week's portion is also about the priestly blessings, the Shabbat of Blessings. The kabbalists (Tiferet Yosef) teach: everyone is blessed all the time. The Creator wants every person to experience endless goodness and blessing at every moment.

Mas a maioria das pessoas só toca a klipá (a casca) da bênção, a parte superficial. A profundidade da bondade interior, a verdadeira essência da Luz do Criador contida em cada bênção, fica inacessível.

But most people only touch the klipah (the shell) of the blessing, the surface part. The depth of the goodness inside, the true essence of the Creator's Light contained in every blessing, stays out of reach.

Há um único caminho para acessar a profundidade

There's only one way to access the depth

Como sair de 1% para 100% das bênçãos? Como acessar camada após camada de bondade dentro de cada coisa que recebemos? Michael é direto: só há um caminho.

How do you go from 1% to 100% of the blessings? How do you access layer after layer of goodness inside everything we receive? Michael is direct: there's only one way.

Quanto mais profundamente você ouve a Voz, quanto mais clareza você tem de que tudo na sua vida é o efeito de uma necessidade divina expressa pela Voz do Criador a Si mesma, mais você experimenta a profundidade da bondade contida em cada bênção.

The more deeply you hear the Voice, the more clarity you have that everything in your life is the effect of a divine need expressed by the Creator's Voice to Itself, the more you experience the depth of goodness contained in every blessing.

A escuta da Voz e a experiência da profundidade das bênçãos são a mesma coisa, vista por dois ângulos.

Hearing the Voice and experiencing the depth of the blessings are the same thing, seen from two angles.

Este não é o segredo de um Shabat, é o segredo da vida

This isn't the secret of one Shabbat, it's the secret of life
