✦ All insights are drawn from studies, lectures and articles published on kabbalah.com.
In the Torah portion of Nitzavim, we're invited to take our stand, "we are standing", before life's decisions. It's a spiritual alert: stop postponing the transformation that's already available. The New Year of Humanity doesn't begin only with the calendar, but with every inner choice to purify, undo blockages and cultivate certainty of faith. When we take responsibility not only for ourselves but for the collective, we make room for the coming year to be powerful, aligned with our highest potential.
Standing before the Light.
Set aside 10 minutes in silence, picture yourself standing before a great field of Light, and say: "I choose to be present and conscious."
Identify and correct.
Write down three reactive patterns you repeated this year. Ask: "What is the hidden seed of Light here?"
Release stagnant energy.
Picture someone who hurt you and say mentally: "I release this weight and make room for the Light."
Strengthen your confidence.
Repeat throughout the day: "Ani Lo Ira, I will not fear." Write down one situation where you chose confidence over fear.
Feel part of the whole.
During a meal, share something positive from the week and recognize that everyone is included in the Light.
Plant new seeds.
Write three intentions for the new year, one personal wish, one for your family, one for humanity. Read them aloud.
Seal the vessel.
Say a simple prayer: give thanks for the year that has passed and ask for strength and clarity to begin the new year with love and purpose.
"I remain standing before the Light. I release my heart of stone, I choose compassion, and I plant certainty for the new year."
Practice these steps to move through the week of Nitzavim consciously, and arrive at Rosh Hashanah with your vessel ready to receive the new year's Light.
