"You do not need to carry alone what the Light already holds up."
There are days when tiredness comes not from the body, but from carrying everything inside, the fears, the worries, the weight of having to handle it all, the care for the people you love, the thoughts about the future.
Kabbalah teaches that there is a kind of effort that heals and a kind that only wears you down. Doing your part heals. Trying to carry what is not yours, the outcome, tomorrow, the answers that have not arrived yet, wears you down. Those weights were never made for human hands.
Today, the message is a relief: you can let go. Not because nothing matters, but because there is a greater hand holding it up alongside you. Let the Light carry part of it for you.
Holding everything tight is a form of fear. Letting go is a form of faith. Kabbalah teaches that when we hand over what we cannot control, we make room for the Light to act where our own strength cannot reach. It is like a closed fist: while it clenches, nothing can enter it. When it opens, it can receive. Letting go is not losing control, it is honestly recognising that it was never in your hands to begin with. And that is good news.
There is a huge difference between surrendering and giving up. Someone who gives up abandons their own part. Someone who surrenders does their whole part, gets treatment, takes care, prays, chooses certainty, and hands the outcome over into the Creator's hands. Surrender does not take you out of the story, it takes off your back the weight that was never yours. You keep walking, but lighter, because you carry the backpack for the day, not for the whole year.
Not everything needs to stay with you. The guilt, the “what ifs”, the fearful scenes the mind rehearses, let them go. Keep what strengthens you: love, gratitude, certainty, the presence of the people around you. Do this concretely: when a heavy thought arrives, ask "does this heal me or weigh me down?", and choose, with care, what deserves to stay in the bag.
The Zohar teaches that we never walk alone. There is a greater hand holding you up underneath everything, on the days you feel that presence, and on the days you feel nothing at all. Lean on it. Rest in it. Let it hold on with you, and sometimes, for you. The Light does not wait for you to bear it all before it acts. It is already acting, including right now.
“I release what is heavy and entrust to the Light what I cannot carry. I am not alone.”
Close your eyes. Breathe deeply.
Picture yourself holding a heavy backpack in your hands.
With every breath out, hand that backpack to a soft light in front of you.
Feel your shoulders relaxing, your chest opening, your body growing light.
And say inwardly: “I let go. The Light holds it up.”
